DUSHANBE, 11.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, launched the second stage of the Cultural and Entertainment Park in the town of Darband, Nurobod district.

This park was built on a total area of 12.6 hectares by the State Institution «Management of the Flooded Area of the Rogun HPP» with a modern design, and is considered one of the main places for walking of residents and visitors of the district and region.

The Head of State was informed that the construction works in the Cultural and Entertainment Park began in April 2022 and were completed within the specified time and with high quality. During the construction of the facility, more than 50 local residents were involved in permanent and seasonal work.

The amount spent on the second stage of the construction of the cultural and entertainment park in Darband is 32 million 190 thousand somoni.

With the commissioning of the second stage of the cultural facility, which has added beauty to the district, 15 more people have been employed.

An amphitheater with 250 seats, a teahouse with 40 seats, a cafe, 5 attractions for children’s entertainment, 8 shaded verandas, two small sports fields for football and tennis, two playgrounds for teenagers, animal sculptures, and summerhouses have been built in the territory of the new park.

In order to make the cultural and entertainment park beautiful and attractive, its entrance and walkways are covered with tiles, colorful roses, seasonal flowers as well as rare decorative evergreen trees have been planted in the park.

According to the main plan, a fountain and other entertainment equipment have been installed in the park, where residents and guests of Nurobod district can relax and have fun around the clock.

The Head of State highly appreciated the quality of the completed works and gave useful instructions to the officials to make this charming place of entertainment even more prosperous and beautiful.

After the opening of the second stage of the cultural and entertainment park in Darband town of Nurobod district, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon met with 34 orphans and presented them with gifts. The gifts of the President of the country consisted of a package of textbooks and art books, reading materials, clothes and financial aid.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during a sincere conversation with the orphans, emphasized that each of them is under the direct care of the state, and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan implements all measures for their upbringing and development.

It is only required from them to pursue excellent studies, display love for the Motherland, respect for national values and lead a decent life on the basis of high knowledge.

At the same time, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, during a sincere conversation, guided them to learn foreign languages, modern science and knowledge, to choose the right profession and to serve the state and the nation in the future.
