Preparations for the Upcoming CIS Heads of Government Council Meeting Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 15.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 13, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda met with Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Nurlan Seitimov in Dushanbe.
The two sides discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers), scheduled to take place on June 4–5, 2025, in Dushanbe.
They also exchanged views on the agenda of Tajikistan’s chairmanship in the CIS for the current year.
It should be noted that Tajikistan holds the 2025 chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States. In this context, the country is set to host a series of high-level events under the framework of the CIS chairmanship concept and action plan.
