DUSHANBE, 30.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 30, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

The meeting, first of all, heard a report by Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, on the Strategy for Attracting Investment to the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2040.

In particular, it was emphasized that the strategy defines the state investment policy in Tajikistan for the long term and includes specific tasks to improve the country’s investment climate, stimulate investment activity, strengthen cooperation between the state and the private sector, develop entrepreneurship and attract investment, especially foreign direct investment.

It was instructed that the relevant ministries, agencies and local executive bodies of state power ensure the implementation of this strategy and its action plan within the framework of the funds provided for in the state budget and other sources.

Then, the work plan of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the second half of 2025 was discussed.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the heads of state structures to ensure the submission of draft decisions on issues considered at meetings of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan within the specified deadlines and to take specific measures to hold events of national and international importance at a high organizational level.

After considering this issue, the relevant decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted.

During the meeting, a number of draft laws were also approved, including the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Tajikistan”, “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Legal Status of Military Personnel” and “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Promotion of Population Employment” and were submitted for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Regarding the outlook for the main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2028, it was stated that its draft was developed to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, adopted state, sectoral and regional programs for the socio-economic development of cities and districts.

The Action Plan of the Cinema Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2027 in 2026 was considered.

At the end of the meeting of the Government of the country, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon gave instructions and assignments to officials of state structures to fulfill the tasks, implement strategic goals, expand development work, target cultivation of agricultural lands, effectively use electricity, seriously prepare for the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026, comprehensively prepare for the new academic year of 2025-2026, and prepare for properly celebrating the national holiday — 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
