Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Meets with UNESCO Director-General in Paris

DUSHANBE, 12.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On the sidelines of high-level UNESCO events in Paris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Chair of the National Commission of Tajikistan for UNESCO, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Audrey Azoulay.
The sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Tajikistan’s multifaceted cooperation with UNESCO.
Particular attention was given to expanding collaboration in key priority areas, including science and education, the preservation of cultural heritage, the natural sciences, and water-related issues.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan places special importance on strengthening its constructive engagement with UNESCO and reaffirmed its readiness to actively support and promote joint initiatives at both the regional and global levels.
