DUSHANBE, 03.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 3, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, inspected the construction work at the National Stadium of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.

The magnificent sports facility is being built on an area of 9.5 hectares, with more than 30 thousand seats. The construction of the largest sports facility in Tajikistan will contribute to the continuation of measures to create a high-level infrastructure and services in the capital of the country.

We would like to remind that on March 15, 2019, President Emomali Rahmon together with the Mayor of the city of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, officially launched the construction of a stadium in the capital and got acquainted with the project for the construction of a magnificent stadium.

Currently, the National Stadium of Tajikistan is undergoing groundwork, installation of steel structures, laying of electricity and internet cables, water and sewage lines, heating, air-conditioning systems, interior decoration, tiling, and other works.

As part of the presentation of the project of the facility and the construction materials to be used, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, instructed workers and specialists to carry out construction work in a quality manner and in accordance with standard requirements, taking into account national elements.

The stadium will have 45 office rooms and a conference hall, 34 high-level viewing areas for fans (VIP), 9 medical facilities, 36 canteens and a Tajik football museum in accordance with world standards.

Currently, 725 specialists and workers are carrying out construction work daily according to the project.

72 television recording devices will be installed, which are intended to record the course of the matches. Lighting on the field and seating areas will be provided by 312 special lamps.

The construction of a large sports facility in Dushanbe will lay a real foundation for the development of this sport in Tajikistan and the region in the continuation of successful games of Tajik youth.

The surroundings of the National Stadium of Tajikistan will be given a modern design by installing aluminum panels that will embody water waves. It is planned to build modern fountains around the stadium.

At the same time, two bridges will be built over the Varzob and Luchob rivers in accordance with the project requirements for the movement of football fans, and this place will be transformed into a modern sports town.

In general, the construction of the National Stadium of Tajikistan is underway based on the project in accordance with the requirements of the International Football Federation, and conditions will be created for holding international competitions.

Based on the proposal of the President of the Central Asian Football Confederation, the President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, Honorable Rustam Emomali, and the adoption of a resolution by the United Nations, May 25 is celebrated annually around the world as World Football Day.

Recalling the achievements of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, assessed the creation of an opportunity to develop this sport, host world competitions, and promote a healthy lifestyle as important and timely.
