President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with leaders and activists of Vanj district

DUSHANBE, 25.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with leaders and activists of Vanj district.

At the meeting, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, summed up the results of his working trip to Vanj district and set specific tasks for the activists to expand development works and celebrate the national holiday of the 35th anniversary of state independence with worthy achievements.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude to the residents and businessmen of Vanj district for their valuable contribution to the development and progress of their homeland.

It was emphasized that within the framework of the development and construction work plan to welcome the 35th anniversary of state independence, 84 social and industrial facilities and buildings have been built and renovated in Vanj district to date, and 38 more facilities should be built and commissioned by the celebration.

President Emomali Rahmon recalled the achievements of residents in overcoming the communication deadlock and called the contribution of builders to this important work valuable.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, reflected on the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the progress and development of the Vanj district during the years of independence, and noted that more than 2.7 billion somoni have been allocated from all sources of funding to ensure the social and economic development of the Vanj district.

It was noted that 14 state investment projects worth 311 million somoni have been implemented in the district, and now, to further improve the well-being of the district’s residents and make it prosperous and developed, the implementation of 7 more projects is ongoing, within which 391 million somoni has been disbursed to date. The mentioned projects are mainly aimed at building and equipping schools, strengthening infrastructure to ensure resilience against natural disasters, providing electricity to rural areas, and renovating and upgrading roads.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, analyzed all sectors of the national economy in the district and set specific tasks for the continuation of constructive measures in the future for the relevant ministries and departments and executive bodies of the regional and district government.

In particular, the heads of the region and district, together with the relevant ministries and departments, were instructed to ensure the construction of industrial enterprises by the 35th anniversary of independence and to take necessary measures to increase the efficiency of providing users with electricity and the stability of the system in the district.

In relation to the development of the agricultural sector, instructions were given to the responsible structures to take measures to attract domestic and foreign investment to establish the processing of agricultural products, to organize a modern center for storing and packaging products, and to pay great attention to the issue of improving the reclamation condition of agricultural lands, developing new lands and increasing crop productivity.

The executive bodies of the district government, together with the relevant republican structures, received instructions from the Head of State to take practical measures to eliminate existing problems in the education sector.

Other instructions were also given to adapt the conditions of the sector’s institutions to modern requirements, provide them with modern equipment, and repair healthcare facilities.

Recalling the rapidly changing situation in the world today and other global problems, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, tasked district leaders and activists, heads of communities and neighborhoods, intellectuals, and respected and experienced individuals to guide the people, especially the youth, to strengthen peace and stability, observe the rule of law and legal order, that is, the rule of law, constructive and prosperous works, and thrift.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, demanded that activists give priority and constant attention to carrying out good human deeds, including supporting orphans and disabled people, poor families, and the proper upbringing of children.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the relevant ministries and departments to use budget funds to renovate and asphalt the road to the village of Yazghulom in Vanj district.
