DUSHANBE, 09.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 8-9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon held fruitful conversations with participants of the high-level event dedicated to the launch of the Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences, 2025-2034, and the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference.
In particular, our Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, held cordial talks with the President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader Corona, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian, President of the Republic of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chavez, Vahagn Khachaturyan, Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Rector of the UN University in Tokyo, Marwala Tshilidzi, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, Celeste Saulo, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Qu Dongyu, Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, Mafalda Duarte, and others.
The interlocutors highly appreciated Tajikistan’s successful hosting of the first High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation in Dushanbe and the contribution of our Head of State to promoting global water and climate issues and glacier conservation, and expressed their congratulations on this occasion.
