Tajik Prime Minister Participates in Tashkent International Investment Forum

DUSHANBE, 10.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of Tajikistan, led by Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, participated in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The event opened with remarks from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in investment and entrepreneurship.
In his speech, Prime Minister Rasulzoda highlighted Tajikistan’s economic progress, noting an average GDP growth rate of 8.5% over the past eight years, as well as the creation of five free economic zones and favorable investment conditions. He reported that Tajikistan has attracted $11.6 billion in foreign investment over the last five years.
The forum brought together heads of state, prime ministers, financial institutions, and investors. Rasulzoda invited participants to attend Dushanbe Invest 2025, scheduled for October.
On the sidelines of the event, President Mirziyoyev held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Rasulzoda.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening trade, economic, and cultural ties rooted in centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness.
At a meeting chaired by the prime ministers of both countries, the delegations discussed expanding cooperation, especially in energy and natural resource management.
Both sides viewed the development of energy partnerships as mutually beneficial and stressed the constructive policies of their leaders as a foundation for long-term collaboration.
