DUSHANBE, 03.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of an educational seminar and training program organized for a delegation from Tajikistan, Khovar correspondent had the unique opportunity to gain deeper insight into China’s key policies, cultural heritage, and state governance.
The program combined theoretical lectures with practical field visits to cultural and historical sites, and meetings with local experts—providing valuable experiences applicable to professional development in Tajikistan. More in this report by Parviz Faizullozoda.
Orientation and Team Building
The seminar began with introductory sessions that encouraged participants to interact in an informal and collegial setting, laying a foundation for productive collaboration and teamwork throughout the course.
Among the most memorable highlights were cultural excursions and expeditions, which broadened participants’ perspectives and deepened understanding of Chinese heritage and history. Visits to landmarks such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and Hangzhou’s historic Qinghefang district showcased the rich architectural and cultural legacy of China.

Exploratory visits to the China Arts and Crafts Museum, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and the ancient ruins of Liangzhu City provided further insights into China’s distinctive history, traditions, and developmental journey.
Lectures and Key Discussions
The academic segment of the seminar focused on essential topics in Chinese politics and public administration. A key subject was the diplomatic vision of President Xi Jinping, highlighting the core principles of China’s foreign policy and global strategy. Attention was also given to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, particularly China’s successful poverty alleviation campaigns.

Other important themes included the modernization of public administration, the use of digital technologies in governance, and China’s commitment to global openness. The lectures enriched participants’ understanding of how China executes its ambitious domestic and international initiatives.
The practical part of the program offered an on-the-ground view of how these policies function. A visit to the Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall presented forward-looking concepts in urban development. The 798 Art District—a former industrial site turned creative hub—showcased modern Chinese innovation in arts and entrepreneurship.

Visits to the Beijing Sub-center in Tongzhou, the National Museum of Ethnic Cultures, and rural revitalization centers in Hangzhou revealed how China is preserving cultural identity while promoting regional development.
Innovation and Cultural Initiatives
Another major focus was on technological innovation and sustainable development. The delegation witnessed successful ecological projects, such as wetland conservation and urban renewal in Hangzhou. An inspiring visit to the “Wahaha” company demonstrated how Chinese enterprises implement cutting-edge innovations to compete globally.

The seminar also fostered knowledge exchange between Tajikistan and China. Topics included the development of joint projects in culture, economics, and sustainability. Special sessions were held on building high-quality collaborative initiatives within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Participation in the seminar enriched understanding of present and future challenges in governance and diplomacy.

It also offered a practical look at how China addresses these issues through innovation and cultural diplomacy. The experiences and insights gained will help enhance professional work in Tajikistan and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The unforgettable impressions formed in China will serve as a solid foundation for deepening the ties between Tajikistan and China, and for launching promising projects aimed at improving people’s lives and fostering cultural and economic connectivity.
