Tajikistan U-18 Football Team Wins Bronze at CAFA Championship 2025
DUSHANBE, 17.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajikistan U-18 national football team has secured third place at the CAFA U-20 Championship 2025, following a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Uzbekistan in the third-place match.
According to the Tajikistan Football Federation, the match took place on June 16 at the TALCO Arena in Tursunzoda, drawing a crowd of over 3,500 spectators. The regular time ended in a 1–1 draw, and Tajikistan clinched the win in the penalty shootout with a score of 4–2.
The final match of the CAFA Youth Championship 2025 will be held today at the Central Stadium of Hissor, where Kyrgyzstan will face Iran. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM local time.
