DUSHANBE, 13.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 13, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, while continuing his working trip, solemnly inaugurated the beautiful and modern building of the State Institution “School of Arts named after Shodmon Alifov” on Kurushi Kabiri Street in Buston.

The building of the school of arts, which consists of three floors and a basement, was renovated by the Executive Body of the State Power of Buston based on the instructions and guidelines of the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

The building of the institution has 47 spacious classrooms, work rooms for teachers, a concert hall with a capacity of 100 seats, and other auxiliary facilities.

The measures related to the repair and renovation of the school of arts were carried out by workers and specialists of the Limited Liability Company “Sayhuni Khujand”.

The school, using the available conditions and opportunities, provides education to teenagers aged 7 to 10 in 5 departments: playing the qanun, various rubabs, hoops, flutes, trumpets, piano, singing, painting, embroidery, carpet weaving, adras and atlas weaving, and carving. The responsibility for education, especially the improvement of the talents and skills of the students, is entrusted to 38 educated teachers and professional craftsmen.

This cultural institution can accommodate up to 800 teenagers in two shifts for education and training in various crafts. The educational process is mainly carried out individually.

It was reported that every year a large number of students of the Buston Art School participate in regional, republican and international competitions, and receive diplomas and awards for presenting their skills and talents. In particular, over the past 4 years, 5 of them have been honored to take prominent places in the final round of the Republican Contest “Tajikistan — My Beloved Homeland”.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, while familiarizing himself with the created conditions, highly appreciated the quality of construction work and directed the teachers of the art school to fruitful work.

It was instructed that talented teenagers from surrounding cities and districts should also be included in the institution’s training and mastery of various crafts, so that they can make the most of the best conditions and opportunities provided here.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, also was shown a concert program by students of the Shodmon Alifov Art School in Buston.
