Tajik FM Attends CSTO Ministerial Council Meeting in Kyrgyzstan

DUSHANBE, 01.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 30, 2025, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
According to the Tajik Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the main issues of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Organization, as well as measures to respond to the challenges and threats in the CSTO area of responsibility, were thoroughly discussed.
Following the meeting, the ministers signed a number of decisions aimed at further productive activities of the Organization. Also, the statements on countering radicalization leading to terrorism and extremism, information security and in connection with the situation in the Middle East were adopted.
The parties welcomed the implementation of the first stage of the «CSTO targeted interstate program on strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border”.
A meeting was also held between the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization’s member states.
