DUSHANBE, 28.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 28, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, presented state awards, special titles and ranks to a number of representatives of the country’s power and military structures in honor of the sacred and great national holiday — 34th anniversary of the state independence of Tajikistan.

Speaking at the ceremony of presenting state awards, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, reflected on the role of the Armed Forces, other military structures and law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan on the path to achieving state independence and protecting its achievements.

It was emphasized that today the country’s military is also making a very important and valuable contribution to the process of building a democratic, law-based and secular society, protecting the borders and homeland of the Motherland, ensuring the security of the state and society, strengthening the stability of society and the rule of law.

It was said that the Armed Forces and other military structures of Tajikistan are born of the era of independence and are always ready to protect the independence and freedom of our beloved country.

It was highlighted that the fruitful activity and loyal service of the military and law enforcement officers are always appreciated by the state leadership and the Government of the country.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, noted that according to a good tradition, every year on the eve of the celebration of the anniversary of state independence, military personnel of the Armed Forces, other military structures and law enforcement officers are awarded state awards and high military ranks.

The Head of State recalled that service in the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies is service to the state, the Motherland and the people of Tajikistan, and for every young man it is a filial duty and at the same time an honor and pride. Because the constructive work of the people for the sustainable development of the state and the prosperity of the Motherland, as well as the peaceful and quiet life of each family and each individual in society is possible only if security, stability, and law and order are established.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, addressed the military and encouraged them to love their nation and Motherland.

At the solemn ceremony of presenting state awards to mark the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, a group of military personnel were awarded state awards and ranks by the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Thus, this time, in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On awarding law enforcement officers, the judiciary and military personnel for exemplary service and valuable contribution to protecting the constitutional rights of citizens, combating crime, maintaining public order and courage and selflessness,” military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan were awarded state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan, and a group of brave and courageous sons were awarded honorary titles and special ranks, next ranks, highest military ranks, and degree ranks.

In particular, during this ceremony, soldiers, officers and other military personnel were awarded the honorary title of Honored Worker of Tajikistan, the Order of Spitamen, II degree, the Order of Honor, II degree, the Medal of Courage, the Medal of Meritorious Service, the Medal of Mercy and the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Tajikistan.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan “On granting special regular, higher military, regular military and other ranks to a group of military personnel” and responsible employees from the Customs Service, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Agency for Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, higher military and special ranks were awarded, including the rank of Colonel General of Justice, the higher military rank of Colonel General, Colonel General of the Guard, Colonel General of the Militia, Lieutenant General, State Advisor to Justice of the 3rd rank, Major General of Justice, Major General and Major General of the Customs Service.

It should be noted that during the period of independence, the loyal services of responsible officers and employees, their productive activities and exemplary service have always been appreciated by the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

At today’s ceremony of presenting state awards, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, presented medals to four soldiers from the Border Troops for their feats and bravery in protecting the state border.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, especially emphasized the courage and determination, loyalty and high sense of responsibility of the young soldiers.

According to the Head of State, it was their courage and bravery, intelligence and alertness, and a high sense of responsibility that dignified these young people to be awarded state awards today among thousands of soldiers of the Motherland.

During a sincere conversation that the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, had with the young defenders of the Motherland, he gave them fatherly advice, encouraged the youth to love the Motherland, and faithfully and conscientiously protect the sanctity of the ancestral land.

The leaders of military structures and law enforcement agencies were required to treat the soldiers as their own children. They were asked to raise well-rounded personnel in all respects.

At the ceremony of presenting state awards, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, once again congratulated all those present on being awarded state awards and the next military and special ranks.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, directed the military personnel and law enforcement officers to faithfully serve in the interests of the state and nation, ensure the security and stability of the country, strictly observe the rule of law and order, and unconditionally fulfill the requirements of the regulations.

At the end of the ceremony of presenting state awards, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, expressed confidence that the personnel and servicemen of the Armed Forces, other military structures, and law enforcement agencies of the country will continue to mobilize all their knowledge, skills, experience, and capabilities for the development of our beloved homeland, the maintenance of peace and stability in society, the security of the state, and the peace and tranquility of the country’s residents.
