DUSHANBE, 26.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rustam Emomali conveyed President Emomali Rahmon’s warm greetings and best wishes to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan were discussed. Satisfaction was expressed with the steady development of all aspects of the friendly and fruitful relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, including the expansion of constructive interparliamentary cooperation.

The parties paid particular attention to issues related to the development of relations between the two states in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The expansion of cooperation in promising areas of economy, such as industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, mining, and agriculture, as well as education, science, culture, and tourism was noted as essential.

Issues on the international agenda, in particular ensuring security and stability in the region, were also among the topics discussion.

After the meeting at the Ak Orda residence, a ceremony was held to award the Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, with a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For his significant contribution to strengthening friendly and strategic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the development of interparliamentary ties, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, was awarded the Order of Dostyk (Friendship) II degree.

The state award was presented to Rustam Emomali by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who emphasized his notable contribution to the development of good-neighbourly relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries.

The Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, expressed his sincere gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the high recognition of his services and for bestowing the state award.
