A session of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation was held in Dushanbe within the framework of the 59th plenary session of the IPA CIS., reports Khovar.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the parliaments of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
During the meeting, parliamentarians provided information on preparations for the International Conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II 1941-1945.
The results of past events in partner international organizations and international events organized by the Assembly were also presented to the members of the commission.
Issues related to the activities of BRICS were discussed at the meeting, and a report on Brazil’s presidency in 2025 was presented to the commission members.
The meeting participants reported on the results of the Republic of Tajikistan’s presidency of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2025.
