Tajikistan and EU Discuss Vocational Education and Economic Cooperation

Dushanbe, 23 January 2026 /NIAT ‘Khovar’/ – On 22 January, Abdurakhmon Abdurakhmonzoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with Vincent Bigotto, representative of the European Union headquarters in Brussels, to discuss issues related to vocational and technical education.
According to the Ministry’s press center, the meeting also addressed the current state of affairs, prospects for economic cooperation, and policies for human capital development.
Minister Abdurakhmonzoda emphasized the importance of attracting investment in priority sectors of the national economy and highlighted the timely development of the EU’s grant support programme for technical and vocational education in Tajikistan.
Following the discussions, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue regular dialogue and strengthen practical cooperation in key areas of socio-economic development.
