Growth in the Number of Tourism Service Providers in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 05.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – The growth in foreign tourist arrivals has had a positive impact on the development of the tourism sector in the Republic of Tajikistan. This was stated by Jamshid Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, during a press conference.
According to the Chairman, in 2025 a total of 367 tourism service providers were registered in the country, which is 20 more than in the same period of the previous year.
Of the total number of registered facilities, 225 are hotels, 61 are motels and hostels, 56 are sanatoriums, four are health camps, six are medical centers, 10 are holiday homes, one pension, and four tourist bases.
It was emphasized that the number of foreign tourists visiting the country is one of the key indicators reflecting the current state and development trends of the tourism industry in Tajikistan.
