The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, addressed the numerous participants of the Navruz cultural program and congratulated the participants, the glorious people of Tajikistan, and our compatriots abroad on the celebration of International Navruz.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that Navruz is considered one of the most ancient and significant holidays of humanity. It symbolizes the awakening of nature, the arrival of a new year and new life, the purity and elevation of spirit and thought, and the strengthening and dissemination of humanistic and moral values.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, called this holiday one of many ancient rituals that reflect the philosophy of life, the school of self-awareness, and the history of the culture and civilization of our Aryan ancestors.

President called the contribution of our glorious ancestors to the preservation of sacred heritage an invaluable national treasure.

«In a modern world full of contradictions, Navruz has become a bridge of friendship between peoples, a factor of peace and mutual understanding, an example of the coexistence of civilizations, and the international community recognizes it as an international holiday,» — noted the President. Considering the place and significance of this ancient tradition, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, reiterated the need to build an International Navruz Center in the capital of our beloved country, Dushanbe.

According to the Head of State, this initiative is not only a tribute to the past but also an investment in the future cultural development of the nation.

It was noted with satisfaction that on December 10, 2025, at the 20th session of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee, one of the valuable traditional manifestations of the Navruz holiday—the national nomination of Tajikistan entitled «Culture of Sumanak Preparation»—was included in the UNESCO Heritage List.

Emomali Rahmon emphasized that we must continue to preserve the traditions of Navruz, its values, disseminate them, and pass them on to future generations in all their beauty and grandeur.

Addressing the youth, Emomali Rahmon encouraged them to embrace the history, culture, and other eternal values of their people.

It was noted that this year, Navruz is celebrated during the period of preparation for the sacred and grand celebration of the 35th anniversary of our state’s independence, and therefore the people must redouble their efforts and work diligently to make our sovereign country strong and prosperous.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, confidently declared that the Tajik people, through unity and mutual understanding, patience and perseverance, sincere work, and strong will, will surely realize their creative plans, achieve their strategic national goals, and transform their beloved Tajikistan into an even more prosperous country, and its capital, Dushanbe, into a true reflection of the Tajik state.

Following the congratulatory speech by the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the festive concert program began.

It is worth noting that year after year, thanks to the support of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the celebration of International Navruz throughout the country acquires new grandeur.

At the cultural event in honor of International Navruz, cultural and artistic figures demonstrated all the traditions of this ancient Tajik holiday. Performances by young and talented pop and folk performers in the festive program added a special splendor to the event.

The main goal of celebrating International Navruz at a high and purposeful level is to honor the sacred sites, traditions, ancient and modern culture and civilization of the Tajik people.
