On April 3, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, got acquainted with the progress of the construction and preparation of an important cultural facility — the National Theater.

During the visit, the heads of relevant ministries and departments and responsible specialists informed the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, that the main construction work has been completed to date, and the decoration and preparation of the interior of the building and the installation of equipment in the theater halls are continuing.

It was noted that the best construction and decoration materials, equipment and devices are being used in the construction and equipping of the National Theater building, which is one of the main celebratory facilities dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of Tajikistan.

During the visit, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon gave instructions and recommendations to the responsible leaders, specialists, and Tajik craftsmen to complete the work with high quality and within the specified deadlines.

As it was emphasized, the National Theater, which is one of the most important components of the ensemble of administrative and cultural buildings in the center of Dushanbe, such as the Palace of the Nation, the National Museum, the National Library, the Emblem and State Flag Parks, and Dusti Square with the statue of King Ismoil Somoni, will add beauty and splendour to the capital of our beloved country with its complete readiness.

At the same time, the National Theater will be a venue for the best political, social, cultural, and educational events, and a worthy presentation of the rich history and culture of the Tajiks.
