UNESCO Briefing Held on 2026 Water Conference in Dushanbe

A briefing on preparations for the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028,” was held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris at the initiative of the Permanent Delegation of Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the briefing brought together representatives of UNESCO agencies and member states to discuss the objectives, agenda, expected outcomes and logistical arrangements for the conference, scheduled for May 25–28, 2026, in Dushanbe.
Dilshod Rahimi outlined the government’s preparations and highlighted the importance of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of water resources management.
