On May 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Yasir Ibrahim bin Humaidan, on the sidelines of the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028.”

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Bahrain, as well as regional and international matters of mutual interest.

Particular attention was paid to expanding political dialogue and enhancing cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, tourism, modern infrastructure development, and collaboration on water and climate issues.

Regarding the highly sensitive and complex situation in the Persian Gulf region, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that Tajikistan supports the continuation of political and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the crisis, while taking into account the interests of all countries in the region.
