Tajikistan Presents Energy Potential at Global Energy Forum in Washington

Tajikistan presented its energy sector achievements and major infrastructure projects at a global energy forum held in Washington, according to the country’s embassy in the United States.
Ambassador Zavqi Zavqizoda outlined Tajikistan’s energy development progress since independence at the Global Energy Forum, where he highlighted energy independence as a strategic national goal identified by President Emomali Rahmon.
He pointed to major energy infrastructure projects, including the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant and the CASA-1000 high-voltage transmission line, noting that construction and development work on key projects is ongoing.
The forum brought together representatives of energy organizations and companies, as well as experts from U.S. research centers, the embassy said.
