On July 8, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the second phase of the Sayri Sughd Limited Liability Company in the Sughd Free Economic Zone.

The company’s activities are mainly focused on the manufacturing of small electric cargo vehicles, bicycles, and 18 types of children’s toys.

During the introduction, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the facility was built by the Umarov brothers as part of preparations for the 35th anniversary of the state independence with the aim of developing industry and producing import-substituting products.

The newly built enterprise, employing more than 100 local workers, produces 35 types of products per month, including 250 small electric vehicles, 15 thousand bicycles, and 30 thousand various toys, with 70 percent of the enterprise’s finished products being exported abroad.

The main buildings and mechanical, welding, packaging, and painting workshops, built on an area of 12,500 square meters, are connected by a single production chain and new generation equipment and technology, which will move automatically until the end of production work.

The introduction of a new technical method has reduced manual labor by 90%.

It should be recalled that on November 19, 2024, during the opening of the first phase of the Sayri Sughd enterprise, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, recommended the founder of the enterprise to establish a small electric car production plant in this area to meet the needs of the people.

For this reason, entrepreneur Mirzo Umarov, using tax and customs privileges and exemptions, imported modern technology from abroad and launched the production of small electric cars under the Sayri Motors brand in the Sughd Free Economic Zone.

Small electric cars produced in Tajikistan can travel 100 kilometers on a single charge.

These vehicles with a carrying capacity of more than 1 ton and two seats are manufactured with an open and closed roof according to the demand of the people.

Currently, the production of almost all bicycle parts is carried out within the enterprise, and only 3 types of accessories are imported from abroad, which indicates the high level of professionalism of Tajik specialists and the correct use of modern technology.

Another advantage of using new technology is the reduction of manual work in balancing wheels by up to 10 times.

In the future, the enterprise’s officials plan to increase the volume of production and export of the enterprise’s products within the framework of a favorable business and investment climate and make a significant contribution to the implementation of the fourth strategic goal — rapid industrialization.

The Head of State assessed the initiative of the enterprise’s founder in the construction of such an industrial facility, providing residents with permanent jobs and contributing to the development of domestic production as important, and instructed the officials to take additional measures to attract investment in the Sughd Free Economic Zone and the construction of new facilities.

The Sughd Free Economic Zone was established in 2008 at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. Over the past 17 years of its operation, 27 industrial and service facilities have been built and put into operation with the involvement of domestic and foreign investors, and design and pilot work is currently underway in 25 other entities.

In 2026, 5 new entities were registered in the region with the creation of 300 new jobs, the main direction of their activity is the production of industrial products and services.
