Tajikistan, Oman discuss expanding economic and investment cooperation

DUSHANBE, 16.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) — Tajikistan and Oman discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation, increase investment flows and expand business ties during a meeting between Tajik Ambassador to Oman Zubaidullo Zubaidzoda and Oman’s Minister of Economy Khamis bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Jabri in Muscat on July 13.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of friendly relations and emphasized that political support from the leadership of both countries provides new opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
The talks focused on strengthening cooperation between economic institutions, boosting interagency ties, attracting foreign direct investment, increasing trade turnover, supporting private sector partnerships, organizing mutual visits of government and business delegations, and implementing joint investment projects.
The Omani side presented its National Development Strategy “Oman Vision 2040”, highlighting priorities such as sustainable economic growth, human capital development, entrepreneurship support, economic diversification, improved public administration and attracting international investment.
The parties expressed readiness to continue regular dialogue and promote practical cooperation aimed at expanding economic and investment relations between Tajikistan and Oman.
