UN Resolution on International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations Presented in Vienna

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – The United Nations General Assembly resolution titled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations (2027–2036)”, adopted on June 25, 2026 at the initiative of President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, was presented on July 9 during a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan informed NIAT Khovar about the presentation.
Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Austria and Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the OSCE Manuchehr Jobir briefed participants on the key provisions of the resolution and highlighted the importance of the initiative in promoting peace, dialogue and solidarity among generations.
The Tajik diplomat also called on OSCE participating States to contribute to achieving the goals of the Decade through constructive cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening global peace and stability.
