Aslov Participate in the 15th Annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries
On 22 September 2016 on the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov, participated and addressed the 15th Annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, in his statement the Minister in particular has noted that the meeting was an important milestone in moving from commitments to actions, considering enormous efforts made by the Group last year to reaffirm the needs of the landlocked countries.
Minister Aslov has noted that transport and energy sectors are priority areas for Tajikistan, and in this regard introducing of the “Single window” system, which facilitates the simplification of customs regulations, and the construction of an energy bridge between Central Asia and South Asia (CASA-1000), are vivid proof of the progress made by Tajikistan in this process.
