Parliament ratified the Loan Agreement for the road
Dushanbe, 20.10.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 19 has ratified the Loan Agreement for the project of improvement of the road Dushanbe — Uzbekistan border.
“The project cost is 90 million USD”, — has noted the Deputy Finance Minister of the country Mehrinamo Jonmahmadova, speaking before the deputies.
According to her, these funds will be allocated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on a credit basis.
“The EBRD loan size is 62.5 million USD and the share of AIIB is 27.5 million USD”, — she said.
The project involves the reconstruction of road section from Abu Ali ibn Sino (Avicenna) monument to the Western gate of Dushanbe city.
Generally, it is planned to reconstruct 4.6km of roads, including construction of interchanges on three levels of ring road in 82nd district of the capital, along with improved pedestrian movement.
