Tajikistan participates in 4th China and Central Asia Cooperation Forum
Dushanbe, 20.10.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The delegation of Tajikistan headed by Ambassador of Tajikistan to China Parviz Davlatzoda took part in the 4th China and Central Asia Forum, which was held in the city of Chengdu of Sichuan province on October 19, said the press service of the Tajik Foreign Ministry.
During the Forum, the countries exchanged their views in the context of strengthening regional cooperation between China and Central Asia countries.
In his speech, the Ambassador stressed that Tajikistan attaches great importance to the development of good-neighborly and friendship cooperation with China, which is one of the priority directions of the foreign policy of Tajikistan. Thanks to the high level of political trust and close friendship, the Tajik-Chinese relations are of the strategic partnership which are characterized by the dynamic development of political, economic and humanitarian ties.
Meanwhile, references were made by the Ambassador to the positive results of cooperation between the two countries in the field of security, dynamic growth of bilateral trade and the successful developing cooperation in the implementation of several major projects, which possess the regional significance. The Ambassador pointed out that the expanding economic cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the «Economic belt of Silk Road initiative could be an important tool, which meets not only the interests of the people of Central Asia and China, but also the economic prosperity of the whole region.
The Head of the delegation of Tajikistan, P. Davlatzoda, also presented the trade-economic and tourist potential of his country to the participants of the Forum.
The main participants of the Forum were the official delegations of the Central Asian countries, the leaders and representatives of the China’s government, representatives of ministries and departments, entrepreneurs, scientists and experts, representatives of business circles and the media.
