Tajikistan and Japan have great potential for cooperation in energy and mining spheres
Dushanbe, 02.12.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan, Hamrokhon Zarifi with the Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament from the Liberal Democratic Party, Hajime Sasaki, who is the Honorary Chairman of the Tajikistan – Japan Culture & Economic Friendship Corporation took place on December 1, 2016.
“During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of business cooperation in the light of the outcomes of the meetings of the Heads of the two countries, including the expansion of bilateral cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, energy, investment, as well as implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy and mining,” the Foreign Ministry said.
“The two sides agreed that there is a huge untapped potential between two countries, which needs to be used extensively for building up cooperation in the above-mentioned areas”, it said.
The meeting also attended by the Heads of Divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Senior Members of the Tajikistan — Japan Culture & Economic Friendship Corporation.
