Congratulatory message of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon
DUSHANBE, 04.01.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Today, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, which reads, in particular:
«Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Tajikistan, allow me, on behalf of the Chinese Government and people, and on my personal behalf, to extend to you and the friendly people heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.
China and Tajikistan are good neighbors linked by common mountains and rivers. The friendship between our two nations goes far back. Over the 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations the Sino-Tajik relations are developing steadily and fruitfully. The contacts and exchanges of high-level visits between the two countries are often, the level of mutual political trust is continuously enhancing. The cooperation between the two countries within the joint construction of «One Belt – One Road» and in the security sphere gives good, really profitable results for our peoples. Both sides always firmly support each other on major issues of mutual interest, have developed close cooperation in international and regional affairs, and thus make an important contribution to ensuring peace and stability in the region. Both parties have signed the «Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Tajikistan», established a strategic partnership, and significantly promoted cooperation in various fields, which is entering a new, important stage of development. The Chinese side is satisfied with the results of the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and firmly believes in the prospects for their expansion.
I attach great importance to the further development of Sino-Tajik relations. China firmly supports the policy of Tajikistan in accordance with the national peculiarities of the country, as well as its efforts to protect national security and stability and promote social and economic development. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, I express willingness – together with you – to continue to enhance political mutual trust, to deepen cooperation in joint construction of «One Belt – One Road», and to constantly raise the Sino-Tajik relations of strategic partnership to new levels for the benefit of our countries and peoples.
