Sharif Said and Adham Ikramov discussed further cooperation of business circles of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
DUSHANBE, 14.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan (CCI) Sharif Said met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, who was in Dushanbe on a working visit. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the source, during the meeting they discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on intensification. It was expressed unanimous opinion that there are many points of intersection between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for mutually beneficial cooperation.
The interlocutors confirmed their commitment to business dialogue in all spheres of foreign economic cooperation. It was specially noted that the priority in the future is the expansion of investment cooperation.
It was also expressed desire of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to play an effective role in developing ties between the business communities of the two friendly countries.
Following the meeting, the interlocutors expressed hope that within the first meeting of the Business Council, the exhibition of Uzbekistan and the Tajik-Uzbek business negotiations, bilateral agreements will be reached to establish a close dialogue between the economic entities of the two countries.
Also, it was emphasized that the cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will positively affect the increase in bilateral trade, cross-border trade, as well as will serve to diversify mutual trade between neighboring countries.
