Tajikistan and Pakistani foreign ministers pledge to pursue improved ties
DUSHANBE, 24.04.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/.On April 23, 2018, the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov held talks with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on the sidelines of the meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers. The meeting took place in the Dushanbe Hall of the SCO Secretariat.
A statement by the Tajik MFA Information Department indicated that the in the course of the talks, the two sides exchanged opinions on the entire range of bilateral cooperation issues between Tajikistan and Pakistan as well as some topical matters on the international and regional agendas.
The Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Pakistan once again confirmed interest of their countries in implementation of the agreements that had been previously reached on CASA 1000 Project that will allow for the export of surplus hydroelectricity from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
