Tajik-Russian Intergovernmental top-level meetings and talks held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 31.05.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Intergovernmental meetings and talks between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation were held today as part of the official visit of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the talks the parties have discussed issues related to cooperation in priority areas and made valuable proposals on expanding and strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.
It was considered important effective use of existing capabilities and potential, search for new ways and methods of cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas and, in general, a greater expansion of intergovernmental relations.
Both parties positively assessed the cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Russian Federation in all areas and expressed interest in its greater strengthening.
During the talks the issues related to cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade, energy, agriculture, industry, roads and transport, education and science, investment, employment and others have also been discussed.
It was hoped that the official visit of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to the Republic of Tajikistan and intergovernmental top-level meetings and talks will lay the foundation for achieving creative goals and greater expansion and strengthening of relations between Tajikistan and Russia.
Following the talks there was held signing ceremony of bilateral documents between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation. Then, with the participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev was held a press conference. The results of the official visit of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to the Republic of Tajikistan were assessed positively.
