Opening of the Park of culture and recreation named after Abulqosimi Firdavsi
DUSHANBE, 05.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accompanied by Dushanbe Chairman Rustami Emomali visited Firdavsi district and took part in the opening ceremony of the State Institution “Park of culture and recreation – ‘Friendship of Peoples”.
The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, as a sign of respect and honor of the bright memory of an outstanding representative of Tajik literature laid a wreath at the monument to Hakim Abulqosimi Firdavsi.
During the conversation with the residents of Dushanbe, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, proposed to rename the Park of culture and recreation “Friendship of Peoples” to the Park of culture and recreation named after Abulqosimi Firdavsi. The Park was created in the 70s of the last century.
By instructions of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, the park has been completely renovated by the financial support of the Executive body of state authority of Dushanbe, Sughd and Khatlon Provinces and has completely become an attractive and beautiful place for recreation and entertainment.
First, the Leader of the Nation got acquainted with the newly constructed sports facility. It was informed that on an area of more than two hectares, a mini football pitch for 220 seats, a tennis court, a table tennis court, an open centre for bodybuilding exercises equipped with state-of-the-art and a Children’s ‘Entertainment’ Centers were built.
The total area of the State Institution “Park of culture and recreation named after Abulqosimi Firdavsi» is approximately 30 hectares. A good condition for recreation and festivities of the residents of the capital and its guests are created here.
The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon also inaugurated the «Simurgh» entertainment complex in the park.
There are sports and recreational areas for roller, skateboarding and a skating rink here. The construction of an amphitheater for 1,500 seats is underway.
