Tajikistan to Take Part at the Meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Moscow
DUSHANBE, 03.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin will attend the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CMFA CIS), which will be held on April 5 in Moscow.
The members are expected to approve the draft statement of the CIS heads of state in connection with the 80th anniversary of the start of the Second World War, as well as discuss an action program for enhancing the partnership between the foreign ministries of the CIS countries, which is being developed on the initiative of Turkmenistan. Additionally, a discussion on cooperation in law enforcement, cultural, humanitarian and other fields is also planned, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The draft agenda of the meeting, which includes 10 issues, was formed at a meeting of the Council of Plenipotentiaries to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth in January and approved by the Chairman of the CMFA, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
