DUSHANBE, 27.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 25 in Warsaw, the Deputy Director of the Center for Islamic Studies under the President of Tajikistan Rustam Azizi delivered a speech at the working session of the OSCE Meeting on the Implementation of Human Dimension Commitments on Hate Crimes.

“Tajikistan supports all international and regional initiatives to combat hate crimes,” Azizi said.

Azizi cited examples of how the official publishing house of the Islamic Renaissance Party over the years of its functioning in Tajikistan has published dozens of books and other materials promoting religious intolerance and violence.

Azizi called on the OSCE / ODIHR, as well as all other interested parties, to turn their attention to these facts and limit the presence of such organizations and groups whose ideology is based on the principles of religious intolerance and the promotion of violence at official events and venues.
