Huseinzoda Attends Video Conference of Deputy FMs of Central Asia, European Union and Afghanistan
DUSHANBE, 29.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Huseinzoda took part in a video conference meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asia, the European Union and Afghanistan.
The video conference focused on the issues relating to the joint efforts to address COVID-19 and possible mechanisms of cooperation to reduce its economic consequences in the Central Asian region and Afghanistan.
The Secretary General of the European External Relations Service Helga Schmid spoke about the role of the EU in addressing the immediate needs and mitigating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The heads of delegations also discussed preparations for the next meetings in the framework of cooperation between Central Asia and the EU and other issues of mutual interest.
