More Citizens Returned from Kazakhstan

DUSHANBE, 17.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, per government’s instructions, 221 Tajik citizens were returned from Kazakhstan.
They were temporarily at the Zhibek Zholy checkpoint on the Kazakh-Uzbek border, unable to return due to border closures. They were transported by buses.
Their return was organized in cooperation with the relevant authorities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Regional Office of the International Organization for Migration in Central Asia.
Earlier on August 10, 182 citizens were returned from Almaty to Dushanbe by Somon Air.
