Tajikistan Climbs Two Positions in the 2021 Henley Passport Index

DUSHANBE, 06.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan is in 85th place in the new Henley Passport Index ranking by the number of visa-free countries. Last year, Tajikistan was in 87th place.
According to the ranking, Tajik citizens can visit 58 countries without a visa, which is one more country than citizens of Uzbekistan – 57 countries. Among the countries of Central Asia, Kazakhstan took 70th place. Its citizens can visit 75 countries without a visa. Russia is in 50th place (116 countries).
ÝJapan (191 countries) and Singapore (190) topped the ranking. They are followed by South Korea (189 countries), Germany (189 countries), Spain (188 countries), Italy (188 countries), Luxembourg (188 countries), Finland (188 countries), Austria (187 countries) and Denmark (187 countries).
Afghanistan is in 10th place, as in the previous year. Its citizens can visit only 26 countries without a visa.
Henley & Partners’ annual Passport Index analyzes the visa regulations of more than 200 countries and territories around the world and ranks them according to the number of visa-free countries.
