DUSHANBE, 02.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – In the past month, ten Tajik nationals have been arrested for collaborating with information groups by provocateurs and criminals abroad and sending them false and provocative information against the government. This point was stated today by the Prosecutor General Yusuf Rahmon during a press conference.
“In the future, anyone who acts in the interests of the nation’s traitors will be identified and inevitably prosecuted,” said the Prosecutor General.
Recently the number of information groups by provocateurs and criminals abroad has increased, and they want to create unrest in the country.
“It should be noted that the primary task of the staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office, especially the Prosecutor General, is to ensure the rule of law, fight crime, protect human and civil rights and freedoms, as well as ensure security in the country. That is why today we are trying to reduce the influence of information groups on the ideology of the people,” mentioned Rahmon.
In 2020, 23,460 crimes were registered by law enforcement agencies. Juvenile delinquency has declined, with 119 fewer crimes committed in 2020 than in 2019.
