Tajikistan and Georgia Hold First Political Consultations

DUSHANBE, 16.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Tajikistan and Georgia held the first inter-ministerial political consultations via videoconference.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseynzoda and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Alexander Khvtisiashvili.
The parties discussed the state and prospects for bilateral development of relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and exchanged views on regional security issues and interaction between countries within the framework of international organizations.
Following political consultations, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and that of Georgia David Zalkaliani signed the Inter-Ministerial Program of Cooperation for 2021-2022.
