DUSHANBE, 06.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tomorrow, the Tashkent University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan will host the forum of Women Leaders of the SCO on the subject of Enhancing the Role of Women in Ensuring Sustainable Development.

Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population, the Committee for Women and Family Affairs, and the Center for Strategic Research of Tajikistan are expected to participate at the event.

The Chairman of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs Hilolby Kurbonzoda will talk about the measures taken in Tajikistan to enhance the role and status of women.

The main goal of the forum is to consider the role of women leaders of the 21st century in the implementation of socio-political reforms in the international arena in ensuring Sustainable Development Goals, economic, political, social, and civil rights of women, as well as the development of scientific and practical proposals and recommendations based on the positive experience of SCO members states in the above areas.

Particular attention is paid to the issue relating to the role of women leaders and youth in the conduct of cultural and public diplomacy.

The forum will also focus on the role of the SCO in the world, the contribution of the organization to social development, the role of women and youth in the conduct of national and cultural diplomacy, including in interstate relations.
