Muhriddin and Makei Discuss Prospects of Tajik-Belarusian Relations

DUSHANBE, 19.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei.
The meeting focused on the state and prospects of the Tajik-Belarusian strategic partnership.
The ministers exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
They paid special attention to the interaction of countries in the trade and economic direction.
The ministers noted the positive dynamics in trade turnover between the countries, and discussed the results of the meeting of the Tajik-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which took place from April 5 through April 7 this year in Dushanbe.
While considering the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Belarus celebrated in 2021, the ministers agreed to prepare for this event, filling it with a series of events.
Following the meeting, a Ministerial Plan of Consultations for 2021-2022 was signed.
