Dushanbe Hosts Joint Meeting of CSTO Foreign Ministers Council, Defence Ministers Council, Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils

DUSHANBE, 15.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today under the chairmanship of Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddina joint meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Foreign Ministers Council, Defence Ministers Council, Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils and the session of the Collective Security Council will take place in Dushanbe. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the joint meetings, the heads of delegations will exchange views on the military-political situation in the CSTO region, discuss the implementation of the Action Plan approved by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon earlier this year on February 18, for the implementation of the decisions of the session of the Collective Security Council, and the implementation of the priority areas proposed by Tajikistan.
The sides will hear information from the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas about the preparation of the draft of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on the priority areas of Armenia’s presidency of the organization.
Over 20 decisions will be made during the joint meeting.
