Tajik and Iranian Foreign Ministers Meet in Tehran

DUSHANBE, 27.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Tehran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The parties expressed their intention to expand political, trade, economic, and cultural ties.
The ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations, in particular the strengthening of the activities of the inter-parliamentary friendly groups.
The officials noted the role of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Technical and Cultural Cooperation for expanding mutual relations.
They also had an exchange of views on the implemented joint projects and the use of the existing potential for expanding cooperation.
The parties also discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.
While expressing their concern about the intensification of terrorism, extremism, challenges, and threats of the modern world, the ministers stressed the importance of jointly combating these phenomena.
Muhriddin arrived in Tehran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart to attend the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan + Russia.
