Dushanbe Hosts Meeting of Central Asian Deputies FM and the Republic of Korea

DUSHANBE, 06.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday as part of preparations for the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, which will be held on November 30 in Dushanbe at the level of foreign ministers, Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea held a meeting in a hybrid format.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Farhod Salim, that of the Republic of Korea Yeo Seung-bae, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Marat Syzdykov, Kyrgyz Republic’s Azizbek Madmarov, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sidikov Furkat, and that of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiev.
The meeting focused on key issues of the forum.
The parties noted their appreciation of the importance of holding separate industry meetings on climate change, energy, healthcare, and digital technologies.
They also discussed the draft Joint Statement of the Foreign Ministers following the results of the 14th forum, the Work Plan of the Secretariat for 2022, as well as support for the candidacy for the post of Director General of the Secretariat of the Forum, which will be adopted and approved by the foreign ministers.
