Putin Calls Tajikistan a Good Friend and Reliable Ally

DUSHANBE, 02.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin received credentials from 20 newly arrived ambassadors of foreign states, including the newly appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda.
The ceremony was held in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
Putin emphasized the main points of the relationship between Russia and the states, which will be represented by the new ambassadors.
“2022 we will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Tajikistan, a good friend and a reliable ally of Russia,” noted Putin.
“This year, Tajik friends have successfully chaired the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Our countries interact closely within these structures,” he added.
According to Putin, due to the difficult situation in the neighboring Afghanistan, Russia is providing assistance to Tajikistan in the field of security, including through the modernization program of the Armed Forces.
