Ambassador of Tajikistan Meets Uzbekistan’s Minister of Water Resources

DUSHANBE, 28.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda met with the Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan Shavkat Khamraev.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of rational use of water resources.
The parties noted that 2021 was one of the drier years in the region, but due to the friendship between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, these difficulties were easily overcome and farmers were provided with water.
The counterparts also discussed the priorities for the further development of friendly relations between the two people. Khamraev is also serving as the Chairman of the Friendship Society of the Peoples of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The parties stressed the importance of holding joint cultural events for the Navruz holiday.
