DUSHANBE, 30.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, in relation of the Tajik citizen and a native of Khorug, 26-year-old Chorshanbe Chorshanbiev, temporarily illegally residing in Russia, by the decision of the court of the Ostankino district of Moscow, a large fine was imposed for administrative offenses and gross violation of the rules of stay, creating a danger to the life and health of citizens, and was expelled from Russia, reports press secretary of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Shohmansur district in Dushanbe.
According to the source, during the investigation, it was found that Chorshanbiev was accused in May 2014 by the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Khorug of stealing the personal property of a resident of Khorug Abulnazar Mamadkarimov under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan and the Amnesty Law applied to him in November 2014. As a blogger, and through his accounts (chchorshanbiev_pm) on social media sites, he incited national and regional hatred, galvanizing the public to organize mass riots.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Shohmansur District Prosecutor’s Office against Chorshanbiyev under Articles 189 and 307 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan and he has been detained. A preliminary investigation is underway.
Chorshanbiev has been provided with a lawyer in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of Tajikistan.
Close relatives of Chorshanbiev have been officially notified of his detention.
