Tajikistan’s Trade and Hydropower Potential Presented at the Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia

DUSHANBE, 17.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 15, the Economic Forum to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation with Central Asia and Azerbaijan took place in Riyadh at the initiative of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The forum was attended by the ambassadors of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan to Riyadh, leadership and members of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, officials of the Islamic Development Bank, the Saudi Development Fund, and representatives from more than 50 private companies of the host country.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi noted the economic, trade and investment opportunities, as well as the hydropower, agricultural, industrial and tourism potential of Tajikistan.
He also spoke about the fiscal incentives the Tajik legislation offers to foreign investors. A short video about the investment climate in Tajikistan was also presented at the forum.
